Pho Thai Lao Kitchen is a hidden gem we didn't expect to come across tonight. It is decorated in comfort. A menu with different varieties between Thai and Lao cuisines. Worth trying if you have never tried authentic Lao food. Our server was great. She asked for a few of the dishes if we wanted what level spice in our food. Ranging from 1 through 5, 5 being the highest. She checked up on us from time to time, it was a good, quiet evening. My go to is Pad See Ew. I wanted to try tofu as my protein instead of Chicken. My dish was big, packed with the flat noodles I love with ingredients such as Tofu, Squash, Carrots, Green beans, and Broccoli. I didn't like the heaviness on the sauce, but overall the dish was satisfactory. My husband and brother in law enjoyed their dishes. They chose their Lao dishes and can't wait to return to try more next time. All payments accepted, parking lot is available. We will be back soon.

TAKE-OUT EXPERIENCE Delicious, fresh, and tons of gluten-free options. Open fairly late. The chef is willing to make any accommodations if informed in advance with reasonable time. Tom Yum soup w/ chicken dipping the white rice is such a cozy meal to have during this winter season. Fried ice cream dessert.... folks it doesn't get any better than this.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. It is Thai-Laotian cuisine, so it's a little different from a typical Thai style cuisine, but still delicious and fresh! The key here is that the family still cooks all the food, and it comes out as it's ready but it's so flavorful and cooked with love! My husband I don't even live in the area but we go back when we are in the mood for good, flavorful food. The owners are so friendly, they talk to us and really care what we think. Highly recommend the green curry or red curry. Their Tom Kha Gai is also yummy. Their noodle dishes like Pad See Yew and Drunken Noodles are good, but a little different than what you find at other Thai restaurants, it's a little saucier and they add more vegetables. Still, delicious.

I love this tiny little spot not far from my house. It is a real deal authentic spot that has items I've never seen or heard of. They also have many specials. A couple of favorites are the Lao crepe, Thai Chicken And Shrimp Dumpling, Tom Kha Gai Thai Style, Green Curry and Larb Gai. Staff is always so kind. This is a neighborhood gem.

This place is phenomenal and one, if not the, most legit food I've had outside of Thailand! Everything was delicious. I'm vegan and the chef accommodated every request well. Can't wait to eat it again!!

Went to this place because there was a wait time nearby and we were starving. Boy I'm glad that happened. I'm a big pho enthusiast. Nothing beats the warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you eat a good wholesome pho (except for ramen, but that depends on the mood). This place is a hidden gem inside a mall. I love the concept of build your own pho. They have options of up to 3 or up to 5 mains other than the standard ingredients. You also get to choose either bone broth (among the best I've had!) and vegetable. The place is a lot bigger on the inside than what it looks, they have an open kitchen concept which I loved and the service was excellent. I know Edison stands out for all its amazing options of delicious food, and it gets difficult to select what to eat, but highly recommend giving this one a try at least once.

Word to the wise: Never rely on reviews and always try a restaurant out yourself to make a final judgment. This amazing and rare Laos restaurant is a hidden gem and so I'm glad I found it! We went on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The restaurant inside is very simple and cozy. The waitress was helpful with recommending what should be our introduction to Laos cuisine. I had the Tom Kha Gai Lao style and it definitely hit the spot for me on a rainy day. My bf had Tom yum pho which had a perfectly balanced taste of sour and spicy- not too spicy- big portion. The beef in the Yum Nuer was very tender and tasty! I've had Mango Coconut sticky Rice before but this one topped alllll my previous times! So delicious! Worth to mention that all the ingredients used in all 4 dishes tasted fresh. Will definitely be back to try other yummy dishes and the Sticky rice with Mango

We've enjoyed the food from this restaurant for several years. They are accurate on the spice recommendations. Unfortunately tonight there was a mixup with my order that was take out. I can not eat anything with spice and my fried rice was a level one. The noodle dish sadly had none. I called the restaurant and let them know about the mix up and they were very kind and remade the order and delivered it. It's because of the customer service that I believe this restaurant deserves five stars. If you have read my past reviews of other restaurants, I'm not that generous. Tonight was the exception and the review deserves it. This is a small family restaurant I'm glad survived Covid and hope it lasts for a long time. To the kind woman that delivered my rice, I thank her for her kind spirit and caring to please a customer.

One of the few places in NJ where you can get authentic Laotian and Thai food. The name is a little misleading as it is definitely not a traditional pho place. The owners are friendly and the servers are quick to help navigate the interesting menu. Do yourself a favor, look at the daily specials first, there are some really cool and unique gems on there. We tried the Somtum Tard during our last visit, which included a variety of different dishes, kind of like a Laotian pu-pu platter! On the regular menu, the crepe is the standout, it's crispy, chewy, and that dipping sauce is heavenly. You have to end your meal with Khanom khrok, they are Thai coconut pancakes and they are scrumptious. They are an interesting mixture of savory and sweet, perfect way to end your meal here. Overall, most of the dishes are very good, I have ran into a few things that I just wasn't crazy about, however that's the price you pay for going out of your comfort zone!
